Today we are going to take a look at the process for creating and ordering your custom stickers for your business. The good news is that our website and design team makes ordering a breeze.

Stickers are great for businesses both small and large.

1. Design

If you are an artist or small business owner, you may already have designs ready to be printed. But even with your logo or art, there are still several decisions to be made.

Make sure to take the following into account as you finalize your design:

  • Branding: What colors do you want to use, logo size and placement, text font and size, etc.
  • Shape: Do you want a standard shape like a circle, square, or rectangle? Or do you prefer die-cut (cut to the shape of your design or logo)?
  • Material: At customstickers.com, we have many materials and finishes to choose from. Our most popular materials are white vinyl, holographic vinyl, and clear vinyl.
  • Finish: We always finish your custom stickers with a laminate coating. This gives them a 5-year outdoor life. We can finish in matte or gloss.
  • Size: How big do you want your stickers to be? 3 and 4-inch stickers are the most popular options, but larger and smaller stickers also have their place.

If you don't have a design or logo, there are a lot of resources available. You can contract a marketing agency to help design your logo and branding. If you are on a budget, you can look to Fiverr.com. Shutterstock can also be a great place to get some ideas to get you started.

As you set up your design, consider the file format. At CustomStickers, we can work with pretty much any file type. That said, high-resolution images, or vector files work best. Our design team will enhance low-quality files before printing, but submitting high-quality files will ensure your print comes out great.

Here is the definition of Vector vs. Raster images (from Adobe):

Vector files are images that are built by mathematical formulas that establish points on a grid. Raster files are composed of the colored blocks commonly referred to as pixels. Because they can infinitely adjust in size without losing resolution, vector files are more versatile for certain types of tasks than raster files.

2. Samples

Once you've settled on a design, sticker material, coating, and shape, getting samples of your custom stickers is a great way to evaluate the look and feel of a finished product without spending the resources to order a short run of stickers.

Our sample process is straightforward. Just upload your image on our "Free Sticker" link, and we will turn your design into 3-in standard die-cut stickers.

3. Ordering

Once you've figured out your design and tested the product with free samples, you'll be ready to place an order. First, consider how many stickers you need and how many unique designs you'd like.

As you order higher quantities, your price per sticker drops off significantly. This is because it is time and resource-intensive to set up each new sticker order. We save time on higher quantity orders and pass those savings on to you.

Now for the fun part. Simply select the type of material you want, and you'll see a screen something like this:

order custom stickers

From here, simply choose the size, quantity, and proofing option, then upload your design. If you need a size or quantity not listed here, you can reach out, and we will give you a custom quote.

Submit your order, and we'll get to work right away.

4. Proofing

Our talented team will do all the work to turn your design into custom stickers for your business. If you opt for free proofs, you'll get an email (typically within 24 hours). On the proof you will see the cut line and exact dimensions of your stickers. You can request revisions, and our team will make the changes until it's exactly how you want it.

Once you approve your proof, we'll send it over to our print team.

5. Shipping and Receipt

Our production team can typically turn around orders within 2 business days. Once you receive your stickers, you can start putting them to use. If there are any questions or concerns once you receive your stickers, our support team is here to help.
